Pleiades Theatre

 presents the World Premiere of

Karma

by Aksam Alyousef

Dramaturgy & Directed  by ASH KNIGHT

Set in 2012, a young man, Adeeb, claims as a child that he lived a previous life in Syria.

His mother, Karma, originally from Syria, is worried about his mental health and forces him to bury this idea as he grows up.

Now an adult, he travels to Syria and forces himself and his mother to confront their pasts and current lives.

The play explores the bonds of family, the trauma of civil war, the notion of forgiveness and how our circumstances shape
who we are.
